You want to start working with AI. Good.
Just remember that whatever comes out of it is only as good as what you put in.
Most organisations have years of rubbish lying around. Outdated processes,
documentation nobody has opened since 2019, three versions of the same policy and no reliable way to tell which one the actual one is. AI doesn't clean any of that up. It reads it,believes it, and hands it back to you with more confidence than it deserves.
And if you already struggle to keep knowledge findable and up to date without AI, adding AI won't fix that. It will just make the problem answer faster.
It reminds me of a closet. You keep putting things in for years and at some point the door doesn't close anymore. The answer isn't a bigger closet, or an AI that ordens it for you. The answer is deciding what you still actually need.
Same with the systems you want to point AI at. If they're full of duplicates and documents nobody trusts, what exactly are you expecting to get out of it?
The arrival of AI might be the best excuse we've had in years to finally throw out what should have been removed long ago.
